Learn About Farm Animals at Hunt Club Farm!
Hunt Club’s Summer Farm Camp provides children the opportunity to learn about life on a farm. This program offers hands on experience with petting farm animals, including horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, llamas, alpacas and rabbits. Campers learn the responsibility of daily feeding, cleaning, grooming and animal care activities.
Each session includes horseback-riding experiences, farm games, participate in a pony obstacle courses, a goat rodeo, and more! Farm camp is full of animal education and fun! There are a ton of other activities as we make modifications to the program based on what’s happening in the petting farm each week. Campers leave with an abundance of knowledge and appreciation of all living things. The goal at farm camp is to encourage a friendly environment in which children learn responsibility and initiate leadership skills that will make a memorable impact on their lives.

To our parents of special needs children
Hunt Club Farm tries to make its summer camp program as inclusive as possible. However, camp staff members are not equipped to respond to unique situations that can arise with children with special needs in the behavioral or emotional domains, such as Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Conduct Disorder, etc. Please call the office at (757) 427-9520 to speak to the Camp Director or Farm Owner to discuss the individual needs of your child and the possibility of Hunt Club being able to accommodate your specific needs in the summer farm camp program. We look forward to discussing with you the appropriateness of farm camp experience for your child and working together to determine if the program is a good option for your child. Thank you for considering Hunt Club’s Farm Camp as a summer camp option.
Volunteer Program for Summer Camp Counselors:
Once our campers “age-out” of summer farm camp, they have the opportunity to Volunteer as Summer Camp Counselors in Training. This program is designed for teens ages 13 to 15 years old. Volunteering helps young people learn the importance of doing a job well along with learning the responsibility of showing up for work on a weekly basis.
